In late September, the Italian Dolomites were lush and green everywhere, bathed in sunshine, seemingly still in summer. However, when we arrived, the weather turned rainy, and the rain on the mountains transformed into snow turning the famous Seceda into a white wonderland. Seceda enveloped with constantly shifting and changing clouds. At sunrise, the sunlight pierced through the clouds, illuminated the reddish-brown rocks, painted the clouds and the surrounding area with a reddish hue, and made Seceda seem not cold and lifeless, but vibrant and alive. Due to the clouds constantly obscuring the mountain peaks, we waited for a while before finally capturing this photograph.
At 5:30 in the morning, we left our accommodation. The snow that had fallen during the night allowed us to faintly see the hiking trail in the darkness. Following a 1.5-hour climb, we were completely exhausted upon reaching my destination. Once I finished taking some photos, we descended the mountain, beset with hunger and cold.
