Inspired by the forecast of the Northern Lights that the solar storm would reach another peak between 2024 and 2025, our family came to the Arctic Circle in Finland to watch the unforgettable and shocking Northern Lights explosion.
One night, we participated in the Northern Lights chasing tour to a frozen lake. The sky was very clean, the Northern Lights, like clouds in the distant north sky, were hanging in the sky like colorful silk, and then its shape slowly changed. It was my first time seeing the Northern Lights and was overcome with the word "Wow" and felt like I was stepping into a dream. I quickly set up the camera and the parameters to aim at the slowly floating moving Northern Lights. The long exposure of the camera allowed me to capture the colorful Northern Lights that the human eye cannot see clearly.
Gradually, the Northern Lights moved to our left, right, and overhead. . . The Northern Lights all over the sky and danced like elves and rolled over our heads like a sea of clouds. I was in a hurry to take a picture of the rolling Northern Lights but failed and only kept it in my brain forever.
The skies are often cloudy in the Arctic Circle in Finland in December and January, which reduces the chances of seeing the Northern Lights even if a strong solar storm is forecast. We were fortunate to witness otherworldly phenomenon, it is breathtaking and unforgettable.
